In the age of COVID-19, many companies and services are going virtual! And Doula services are no different. Giving birth and being a new parent during a pandemic can be scary and stressful so hiring a doula can help you emotionally during this time. Even though many places are allowing more than one support person I wanted to offer these services as an option because there are so many people around the U.S. that could use support.

Virtual Birth Support

Are you having trouble finding a doula in your area that you connect with? Does your hospital have support person restrictions that may cause problems for a doula? Are you looking for someone to be your “evidence-based google” during late pregnancy and labor? Many moms are choosing virtual doula support and loving it! You still get support during your labor from me and all of my tips and tricks. Only difference is that your partner will be your physical support person. But don’t worry, we will have more prenatal fun preparing you and your partner for your birth.

• Free consultation
  • We will have a little chat over video chat/phone call to make sure that I am the right doula for you. I will go over a how this will all work and get your paper work sent out.
• Text/call support from the time that you sign the contract until 2 weeks postpartum
• Birth Planning Session
  • I will help you create your birth plan and we will discuss all of your hopes and dreams for your birth experience.
• Birth Prep Session
  • This can be either on video chat or in person. I will show you a bunch of different comfort measures, labor positions, and how to advocate for yourself. It is highly recommended that your partner (or whoever is attending your birth) be present at this session, as they will be the one helping you physically.
• My role during your live birth may include any or all of the following:
  • Video call: I can be live on video for you your entire birth if you need me, otherwise my phone will be on me at all times for you to call.
  • Text: I will also be able to check in Via text if you are having quiet time.
  • Marco Polo: This is like a video walkie talkie app.
  • I can be your emotional and informational support person even over the phone. I will be available 24/7 during your labor to explain anything and everything.
  • I can guide and remind your partner of which comfort measures and positions would be best during every stage.
• From birth until 2 weeks postpartum you will be top priority for breastfeeding help.
• Postpartum Session:
  • During this virtual or in person visit we will discuss how you birth went and just talk!

Virtual Postpartum Support

This is for the new parents that need help managing life as new parents. This is for the second time parents who need help with the transition of bringing baby into the home. This is for any parents that need their own evidence-based “google” at their fingertips. In the U.S. we do not get enough quality postpartum care. Once the baby is born we are sent home to figure it out ourselves. In other countries, midwives visit the home a few times the first couple weeks to check in. Unfortunately that is not usually the case in most areas. That is when a Postpartum Doula comes in!

Virtual Postpartum Services:

• Prenatal consultation (if applicable)
• 24/7 text/call support
  • I will be your own personal evidence-based “google”
• Demonstrations and walk-thru of some of the following:
  • bathing baby
  • diaper changing
  • organizing baby area
  • bottle/pump washing
  • breastmilk storage
  • sleeping
  • babywearing
• Breastfeeding support
  • proper latch
  • milk supply
  • nipple pain
• Pumping schedule for returning to work
• Meal planning

$100 a week

*Payment for each week will be due the week before.

*I prefer scheduling all your weeks with me prior to services (for number of weeks) obviously dates depend on when baby arrives.
